ACPI Driver Problem in Windows 7 32-bit

Solving ACPI Driver Issues in Windows 7 32-bit

Problem Description

An ACPIMSFT0101 device may display errors, indicating a missing or malfunctioning driver. Running the Microsoft hotfix fails, and there is no available AMD HDMI audio driver for Windows 7 32-bit.

Solution

Step 1: Switch to Windows 7 64-bit

The hotfix is only compatible with Windows 7 64-bit. Switching to 64-bit will allow you to install the hotfix and resolve the driver issue.

Step 2: Install the Hotfix

Download the hotfix from the link below and run it. This will install the necessary device driver. Download Hotfix

Step 3: Check Device Status

Go to "Start" > "Settings" > "Update & Security" > "Windows Security" > "Device security". Under "Security processor", select "Security processor details" and then "Security processor troubleshooting". If the driver is installed correctly, you should see an updated driver.

Additional Note

If you are unable to locate the downloaded driver, try using HP Support Assistant to assist with driver management.
