England Reach Euro 2024 Final

Watkins' Late Goal Seals Victory

Ollie Watkins' last-gasp wonder goal against the Dutch sent the Three Lions to the final of Euro 2024.

Oliver George Arthur Watkins was born in Torquay, Devon, to parents Steven and Delsi-May on December 30, 1995. He grew up in nearby Newton Abbot and began his career in League Two with Exeter.

Watkins had a spell in non-League with Weston-super-Mare before joining Brentford in 2017. He helped Brentford win promotion to the Championship in 2019 and was named in the PFA Team of the Year.

Watkins joined Aston Villa in 2020 and has scored 25 goals in 72 appearances for the club. He made his England debut in 2021 and has scored four goals in 10 appearances.

Watkins' goal against the Dutch was his most important for England. It sent the Three Lions to the final of Euro 2024, where they will face either Spain or Italy.

Watkins' goal was a moment of brilliance. He received the ball on the right wing and cut inside before unleashing a powerful shot into the top corner. The goal sent England fans into raptures and left the Dutch players heartbroken.

Watkins' goal was a just reward for England's performance. They had dominated the game and created several chances. But it was Watkins who provided the moment of magic that sent England to the final.

England will be hoping that Watkins can continue his goalscoring form in the final. If he does, then the Three Lions will have a great chance of winning their first major trophy since 1966.
