In Basic Economy and Main Cabin, each bag must weigh 50 pounds or less. However, Medallion Members traveling in Delta One or First Class have a more generous allowance of 70 pounds per bag and can check up to 3 bags free of charge.
Once you upgrade to Delta Premium Select or Delta One, you automatically receive two free checked bags with no weight restrictions.
